ONE

Spa Treatment

Go get your nails done, get a couple’s massage, book a sauna session. Pamper yourself to calm any nerves you might have and help you feel your best! You can do this together as a couple or separate!

TWO

Brunch

Sometimes on big days (wedding, micro-wedding, or elopement day), it’s easy to plan everything EXCEPT what and when you should eat, but food is important AND it’s also something people always bond over. Another plus here - this can be a great way to incorporate your family or friends if you want them involved, but still want the privacy of your ceremony. Let them join you for a morning brunch before sending you off to your ceremony!

THREE

Hire a Private Chef

This is an amazing way to continue the intimacy and romance of your elopement after your ceremony. In your own home or an Airbnb you’re staying in, work with a private chef to curate a special meal, without having to do the work. Enjoy a glass of wine and soak in the day!

FOUR

Read Letters From One Another

You’d most likely do this on your wedding day regardless, but this can also be an amazing way to set the mood for yourselves during your first look or your ceremony.

FIVE

Read Letters From Your Loved Ones

Just because you’re choosing to elope does not mean that your family or friends can’t be involved. This is a simple yet sentimental way to involve your loved ones while still keeping the day private and intimate; read them together before or after your ceremony.

SIX

Video Chat With Your Loved Ones

Once again, connecting with your family and friends might still be a priority for you during your elopement. This is a great way to do so while maintaining the sanctity of your elopement. When we eloped, we had our bed & breakfast owner hold our phone with a Zoom call full of our immediate family. After our ceremony, we said a quick hello, soaked in all their congratulations, and then respectfully said goodbye so we could have our private evening! It was pandemic-friendly but still inclusive.

SEVEN

Go Somewhere Public In Your Wedding Attire

Go to a bar, a restaurant, a public park. It’s hard for strangers to see a couple in wedding attire and not burst out in happy cheers and congratulations! This can be a great way to get the celebratory vibes of your reception without having to plan a reception.

EIGHT

Be Alone

The intimacy of an elopement is likely what you envisioned that inspired you to choose it over a traditional wedding. While it’s important to “make the day memorable” and document the story of your day, it’s crucial to remember to slow down, be alone, and spend quality time together (especially if that’s your love language).

NINE

Something Old

Is your favorite activity together to hike? Picnic in the park? Ski or Snowboard? Go for walks on the beach in the place that you met? No matter what it is, if it’s a tried-and-true activity that you love to do together, there’s no better day to do it than the one where you tie the knot and commit yourselves to one another forever!

TEN

Something New

Ziplining tour? Sunset sailboat cruise? Winery Tour? The options are limitless! Whether you’re the adventurous type or not, there’s something new that’s unique to you as a couple or the location of your elopement that you can do on your big day. It’s a great way to create new memories either before or after your ceremony to reminisce on 10, 20, 30+ years down the road!

BONUS! - ELEVEN

Whatever You Want!

I didn’t want to end with number ten being somewhat corny ~ dO WhAtEvEr YoU WaNt ~ so I’m going to leave it here as a bonus tip! We all need the reminder sometimes. This day is about you as a couple and nobody else. That’s why you chose to elope (ok maybe it was the $$ too) but this is YOUR day, so take a moment to sit down and dream up what sounds FUN. What sounds EXCITING! And just go do it!

We’ll help you plan, work out the logistics, and document the whole thing!
